Zeik brought his shield of swiftly brought up his shield to block the attack, but the force of it ground him in the dirt a bit...

He was getting exhausted now and probably couldn't reckless leap again. The large merc had to rely on that ranged DPS to really damage these beasts. He ran to the left of the first one, making sure to place the 2nd Vowlear on the other side of he first one. His intent was to get the vowlear's to show their behinds to Bestari.

Bestari was in primal position to let arrows fly at the targets. She let the first one loose on the second Vowlear, then drew another arrow in sequence, firing that one at the first Vowlear. Even though the Ragonar was moving them around, Bestari kept her aim high, piercing open areas of their natural armor.

Potential Damages:
Vowlear I : 24 HP
Vowlear II : 13 HP

The second Vowlear was hit, but the first one was not. The first continued it's assault on Zeik, causing massive damage. Luckily, Zeik was still able to block some of the damage.

Vowlear II : 13 HP

He took his sword while the first one was still concentrated on him, and thrust it forward, aiming for the beasts' eye.

Strike! Attempting 8 DAM...

The Vowlear braced for impact, blocking all of the damage he could've hit with. It then jumped from its spot attempting to tackle Zeik.

Vowlear II turned around and went towards the tree it was attacked from. There was no point to double teaming Zeik to this Vowlear, just an even fight.

Bestari pulled back another arrow, aiming at the second beast's forehead. It was a weak spot, the only one on its front side. Fortunately for Bestari, she had good launch speed on these arrows and these beasts were slow. Taking one out would be a huge step.

Attempted DAM: 9.

The blow hit Zeik directly on, knocking him over completely.

18-8 = 10 HP

He started to get back on his feet, but was slow to do so. His eyes were starting to dull, showing he was starting to lose consciousness. Out of pure training, he stood there with his shield in front of him and his sword to his side. A sinister chill started running down his spine. He stood in a frighteningly calm battle stance.

Vowlear II was now bleeding profusely. It charged, but tripped over itself. Sitting in a pool of it's own blood, it's physical wounds had finally caught up to it. In a desperate attempt, it tried to rise once more.

Vowlear II 4 HP.

Bestari pulled back the final arrow, aiming it right at the Vowlear's brain. With enough arrows piercing its forehead, this arrow could finally penetrate into its skull. She let the arrow fly out, attempting to end the Vowlear's life.

The first Vowlear lost interest in Zeik for now, seeing its partner on the verge of death already. It ran at Bestari to try and stop the fatal blow, but it wouldn't make it. It was now all alone. The one thing nobody ever wanted out of a Vowlear.

Vowlear I Trait: Forever Alone. When its partner dies, it gains double stats in all areas, but would take normal damage through its toughskin. This type of Vowlear blocks efficiently, knowing its life is on the line.

At this point, Zeik was nearly unconscious. His body was moving off pure instinct and experience. As soon as the beast turned around, he lunged forward. Thought he beast was faster than Zeik, he was able to catch with the length of his sword. He thrust it forward, directly into the arse of the monster...!

Strike! Attempting 4 DAM...

The Vowlear was penetrated, making it quite angry. It tried picking up Zeik in order to throw him at Bestari, safely in the tree.

With this golden opportunity, Bestari pulled back another arrow, launching it at the Vowlear, making sure to aim low enough not to hit Zeik if he was caught in the mess. Within seconds, she pulled back another, launching it behind the former, hopefully catching the beast in an open throwing motion.

The vowlear succesfully picked up Zeik, but as it was turning to throw, it was struck by an arrow right into it' eye, doing serious damage.

25-9= 16

Zeik was thrown to the ground, still receiving some damage.

10-4= 6

There wasn't much he could do. He stood and readied his shield. With so little left in him, he knew he couldn't take much more. With a lound CLANK! He smacked his shield with his sword, once again trying to draw the attention of the beast.

The Vowlear ignored Zeik once again, finding no interest in the weakened target. It knew the damage was from the trees. It charged the tree once more, but before it made it...


Bestari fired off another round of arrow fire, aiming at the usual weak spots. She noticed that the Ragonar was weakening. It looked as if he couldn't even stand much on his own. It was good for him that the beast wanted her more right now. Though, its awareness of the archer was probably its one weakness.

The beast roared in pain as the arrow pierced it. Now, it completely focused on the source of the damage. It was going to be really hard to hit the beast from Bestari's position. It armored itself in the front to not be damaged by her anymore.

It sprinted full speed into the tree bestari was in, knocking it down.

16-9= 7

Zeik wasn't even conscious anymore. The pupils had left his eyes and he just stood there, barely supporting his own weight standing.

Bestari leapt from the tree, wrapping her bow around her on the way off and grabbing onto another branch just barely. She waited for the monster to charge her tree again before leaping off the main trunk, to try and get behind the monster.

The beast took a few steps back and followed Bestari's motion with his eyes. As soon as he saw what tree she was going for, he pounced toward it with crazy speed. The head of the beast hit the trunk of the tree with a loud CRACK!. It started falling with a faster velocity than the others.

Bestari tumbled to the Earth, rolling off the monster. Knowing she was more than likely going to be grabbed, she broke off the head of one arrow and chucked it at the Ragonar, trying to wake him back up. Why was he even sleeping. Did he go too far? To her, he looked like he was handling himself just fine. But Bestari had only been hurt once, by a falling tree.

The arrow hit zeik right on the shoulder, causing minimal damage, but enough to set him off.

6-2= 4 HP

ZEIK HAS ENTERED [Blood Frenzy]:  When your HP drops below 10%, you gain a boost in Strength and Toughness, giving a chance to rally back in rage. Doubles STR and TGH for 2 posts. Usable once per thread.


All of a sudden, the large merc came alive. It was clear by his eyes that he was still unconscious, but his eyes were still lit like fire.


He charged forward at the beast before it could completely turn. The beast tried to turn to face bestari, but it's face was met by Zeik's shield.


Zeik used Reckless leap!


The Vowlear was caught off guard by the once seemingly useless threat, and was spun around, exposing it's bumhole right at Bestari.

Bestari was surprised by how well that woke up the Ragonar. He just went from sleeping like stance to instantly in the monster's face, blocking the monster from grabbing her while she rolled off of it.

In one fell swoop, Bestari rolled her bow off her body, grabbing an arrow along with it, pulling the arrow back as she readied its position. She let the arrow fly right at the back of the monster's head.

The arrow struck the unsuspecting Vowlear. With a final wince and roar, it fell dead. After the long battle, Zeik was completely exhausted. He fell to his knees before regaining consciousness. He nearly fell forward, but caught himself with his own sword.

"If I were you, I'd get out of the forest. But if you stay, it won't worry me any." Bestari turned her back on the Ragonar and walked towards where she came from, back to the lone tree where she relaxed.

Even though it sounded harsh, that was actually Bestari being nice to Zeik. She would have loved to finish the job at any point during that monster fight, but due to her internal conflict of training and morality, she held back her raging feelings.

Zeik breathed a sigh of relief as he picked himself up... He brushed off his pants, cleaned the blood and....shit from his sword and left the forest. He didn't know if he would run into this Bestari character again, but it was obvious she wasn't all too social
